Issue 2 and upcoming zine fairs

I’ve been printing, folding, cutting, stapling, and gluing Issue 2 of my zine Casue & Effect. Issue 2 is called Sabotage and features a conversation and email on the topic of loneliness. The tone is much different from Issue 1 as participants bring their own experience of social isolation.

Both Issue 1 and 2 will be available this weekend at the Vancouver Art/Book Fair, a free event at the Vancouver Art Gallery presented by Project Space. To view/purchase my zine, look for the Emily Carr University of Art & Design table. Each issue is $3. Issue 2 will be available to buy on my site sometime this week. I will be helping at the fair, most likely somewhere around the entrance. I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday 12-3 if you want to say Hello!

Presented by Project Space, VA/BF is a multi-day festival of artists’ publishing featuring over one hundred local, national and international publishers, as well as a diverse line-up of programs, performances and artist projects. Featured artists travel to Vancouver from across Canada and the globe, and produce everything from books, magazines, zines and printed ephemera to digital, performative or other experimental forms of publication.

Also, coming to Vancouver is Canzine on Saturday, October 24th. It will be held at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, 149 West Hastings Street, from 1 to 7pm. Canzine is “Canada’s Largest Festival of Zines and Underground Culture.”
