Announcing CRIT CLUB – 2026
Crit Club will be a bi-monthly gathering in Halifax. Three artists present work and receive feedback by other artists/creatives in the community. We aim to create a supportive environment to receive crit by guiding presenters and responders through a structured framework to do crit. Visit me at the Halifax Art Book Fair
I will have a table at the Halifax Art Book Fair: September 11 and 12, 2026, 11–6pm.
Graduate Art Books (GAB) features a collection of theses publications produced by Master of Fine Arts and Art Education alumni who graduated from NSCAD in 2024 to 2026. Headed by collaborators Katherine Diemert (MFA) and Laura Bucci (MAAE), GAB is an ad hoc project that aims to create opportunities for our network and to shine a light on arts related research projects. GAB welcomes curiosity and reverberations with the wider public. Exhibiting artists include: Laura Bucci, Katherine Diemert, Daniel Edmonds, and more to be announced.

Co-authored an essay titled ‘Critique as Gift’ for Canadian Art Teacher Journal for issue 21.1 (2025) titled Emerging Scholars. Access the essay here.

Critique as Gift, a workshop ~ June 29, 2024
I am co-designing and co-leading a workshop with artist Katherine Rae Diemert at the CSEA conference in Halifax.

Graduate Symposium Presentation ~ June 28, 2024. I am presenting my thesis research at its early stage; presentation title is Curating Togetherness in Pedagogical Events and Social Practice Projects.

Propositioning the Self with Experiments in Noticing: A sensory exploratory workshop

In this workshop we gather for a short experience on noticing. We will do this by leaning mostly into the auditory sense. We listen to a range of recordings, engage in sonic meditations and in slow and quiet activities. You will be provided with a small publication to notice and record your impressions.
Thursday, February 29 and March 14 2024 at Wonder’Neath Art Society, Halifax, NS; Soft start 5 to 5:30. Snacks and refreshments provided.

Pasta Making Workshop, May 6, 2023 – Halifax
Come and meet your neighbours in the North End of Halifax. I’ll be leading a hands-on workshop on how to make fresh pasta from scratch. We’ll also cook a zucchini “sauce” and have lunch together. Organized and hosted by Every One Every day.

Presenter at Provoking Curriculum Conference
I co-presented with professor Dr. Nicole Lee at the 10th Biannual Provoking Curriculum Conference, London, ON. March 23-25, 2023. My presentation was titled Teach anything and community mapping, which was part of our symposium titled Building togetherness and reciprocity as quiet resistance.
