mail art possibilities – last summer workshop

IMG_6414_embroidery

On August 10th I’ll be teaching the last workshop in the mail art series at the Richmond Art Gallery. In Stitching and Embroidery on Paper I’ll share ideas on incorporating fabric and adding embroidery stitches on your paper collages. These additions will add texture to your work while also making your piece more tactile. Won’t it be fun for the postal workers to see these pieces? I always think about them when I’m working on a mail art postcard.

You’ll be able to create as many postcards as you can manage. All materials provided.
